Our Story
Bodies in Motion began as a vision of movement, mindfulness, and transformation. In 2016, Penny Caldwell founded the studio with a deep passion for yoga—one that was born from her own journey of discovering the power of slowing down. After years of high-impact fitness leaving her body achy and exhausted, yoga became a revelation. It not only strengthened and healed her body, but also helped her manage stress in a way that created lasting balance. Penny’s love for yoga grew into a mission to create a welcoming space where others could experience the same transformation.
Through dedication and resilience, Penny led Bodies in Motion through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring the studio remained a place of strength and community when it was needed most. Her leadership, passion, and unwavering commitment built the foundation of what the studio is today.
In 2025, Penny passed the torch to Shannon Kelly, who shares the same love for movement and community. With a deep appreciation for what Penny built, Shannon is honored to carry the vision forward—continuing to offer a diverse range of classes and fostering an environment where people of all backgrounds feel supported and empowered.
