Yoga, Total Body Tone, Pilates

I have been practicing yoga and Pilates for 26 years, starting with mat Pilates at home while watching Mari Windsor videos. Initially, my goal was to regain my pre-baby abs after having my first child, but I soon realized that it was about much more than just abs. It was about building a strong core and long, lean muscles. This realization motivated me to take Pilates classes at a studio, where an instructor encouraged me to become a certified teacher. In 2019, I obtained my certification, and in 2021, I began teaching at Bodies in Motion.

The inspiration to become a yoga instructor came from my love for helping people discover their strength and capabilities. I believe in pushing my students to reach their full potential and showing them that they are capable of more than they believe.

I have trained in Classical Mat Pilates with Shari Berkowitz and the Vertical Workshop. I also continue my education through CCU's from Peak Pilates and attending annual fitness conventions. These experiences have enriched my teaching and allowed me to incorporate various techniques and traditions into my classes.

When students attend my classes, they can expect to be challenged, have fun, and experience moments of laughter. My goal is to see my students make progress and take delight in their growing strength. It brings me joy when someone tells me they are discovering muscles they haven't seen before or experiencing newfound endurance and strength.

In addition to yoga and Pilates, I also incorporate other practices such as meditation, breathwork, and the use of various tools like rollers, Pilates balls, straps, resistance bands, bands, weights, and sliders in my classes. This holistic approach allows students to experience a well-rounded workout that benefits both the mind and body.

Creating a safe and inclusive space for all students is of utmost importance to me. I always provide modifications for different levels and emphasize proper form. I encourage my students to challenge themselves but also to listen to their bodies and respect their limits.

Teaching at Bodies in Motion is a true pleasure for me. I love the opportunity to work with and learn from amazing instructors. The sense of camaraderie shared by all, as well as the connection with the clients, makes it a truly fulfilling experience.
